Tabata training is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, featuring exercises that last just four minutes. It’s a brutal, but rewarding four minutes and a great workout for those who are short on time, but still want to get great results.

30 minute Tabata classes are run once a week and are a perfect compliment to regular bootcamps (Tabata and boxing classes are included when purchasing Bootcamp packages). For current times and days please check the Timetable.

How it works

  • Workout really hard for 20 seconds
  • Rest for 10 seconds
  • Repeat for 8 rounds

You will be pushed to exercise as hard as you possibly can for 20 seconds and then rest for 10 seconds. This is one set. Repeat eight sets of each exercise.

The types of exercises are varied and can include squats, burpees, pushups, star jumps, mountain climbers – you name it. Kettlebell exercise and sand bags are often incorporated into the Tabata classes.

The Tabata high-intensity interval training has more impact on both the aerobic and anaerobic systems than many other exercises. which is great for all round fitness!
