Shortly before Anthony joined Dazza Fitness, he suffered from a heart attack.
It was a big scare for him and it left him feeling weak, dreary and lacking energy. He knew he had to improve his health and fitness as part of his recovery process.
In the past, Anthony had always been somewhat active, but he never had a structured approach. He often “winged” it and never really got into a routine around exercise as he had no idea even where to start.
Anthony also never liked gyms and was generally too embarrassed to go because he didn’t know what he was doing, which also made him very self conscious to workout around others that seemed like they already knew what they were doing.
Because he didn’t know where to start or how to improve his situation, motivation was always low or it would never really last long.
And then he joined Dazza Fitness and we got straight to work:
We started with an assessment to understand his current fitness levels and medical history
Together, we set achievable short-term and long term fitness goals tailored to his needs
We developed a personalised workout plan focused on building strength and endurance, while being mindful of his heart condition
We incorporated educational components so he could gain confidence in using gym equipment and understand exercises and form
Most importantly, I made sure to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where he could thrive.
Now, Anthony even enjoys working out! Recently, he completed a 100kg deadlift! Something he thought was unattainable just months ago. His newfound energy and confidence are nothing short of amazing!
